Biography Valikhanova Ciocana Chingizovich

Valikhanov Ciocan Chingizovich (1835 (1837) – 1865). Ch Ch Valikhanov – Kazakh nationality, an outstanding scientist in the field of geography and ethnography, orientalist and brave traveler, member of the Russian Geographical Society. He was particularly known for his expeditions in the Seven Rivers (Zailiyskiy edge) and Kashgar, descriptions of flora and fauna of these countries, trade routes, as well as his studies of history and everyday life of Kazakhs.

Biography Spanberg Martin P.

Spanberg Martin P. (d. 1761) – Dane, known when he entered the naval service in Russia. According to the list of marine ranks shows that in 1726 he was a lieutenant in 1732 – the captain of the third rank, and in 1736 – the captain of rank 1. In May 1724, by imperial order, the panel has determined to send two packet-boats in Lübeck for the carriage of passengers, mail and baggage. The commanders of these vessels were delivered, and S. Somov. Upon return from this trip Sh took an active part in the two Kamchatka Expedition under the command of the famous Bering.

Wrangel, Ferdinand Petrovich (29/12/1796 (09/01/1797) – 25.05 (06.06) .1870), Russian navigator, Admiral, an honorary member Petersburg AN (1855). One of the founders of the Russian Geographical Society. He graduated from the Naval Academy (1815).
